Delta Solutions and Strategies, LLC joins UIC Government Services and the Bowhead Family of Companies

(Colorado Springs, CO, Dec. 2) -- Delta Solutions & Strategies (Delta), a Colorado Springs-based service-disabled veteran-owned defense support services firm, has been acquired by Ukpeaġvik Iñupiat Corporation (UIC), effective November 29, 2024. Named the SBA Small Business Prime Contractor of the Year 2023, Delta is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business and provides high quality defense support services.

Delta joins UIC as part of the Bowhead Family of Companies (Bowhead) within the UIC Government Services division.

The acquisition is UIC’s largest to date, and was spearheaded by UIC Chief Operating Officer Jeevan Pokharel with the aim of enhancing and expanding Bowhead’s service offerings for the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Space Force and U.S. Space Command.

Delta’s integration provides Bowhead with new capabilities and exceptional service offerings in military training products, operations and maintenance, modeling and simulations, and professional and technical advisory and assistance services for the Department of Defense and space community. These critical components complement Bowhead’s existing offerings and position the company for increased success in securing government contracts.

The acquisition also provides Delta Solutions & Strategies expanded market reach with access to a wider range of Department of Defense and federal contracts, enhanced expertise and

service delivery, and access to funding and business resources to strengthen the company’s ability to compete.

“Delta Solutions & Strategies has built a reputation for exceptional service delivery and expertise in the defense and space arena,” said UIC Government Services/Bowhead President Mike Hundley. “Additionally, Delta’s ethical business practices align closely with the Iñupiat values that guide Bowhead’s business efforts, making our companies a great fit for this integration in terms of organizational culture and the pursuit of excellence. We are confident that this acquisition will significantly benefit Delta’s employees and customers and are excited about the opportunities ahead.”

Delta currently demonstrates strong operational and financial performance, with 400 employees and over 180 subcontractors currently supporting 46 federal contracts.

“Bowhead is an ideal partner for Delta Solutions & Strategies,” said Delta Solutions & Strategies President and CEO Mark Stafford. “Delta’s expertise and reputation in the space community, matched with Bowhead’s extensive service offerings and well-defined federal contracting practices, will allow us to unlock a new level of value for our organizations and customers.”

Delta Solutions & Strategies senior leadership team will remain in place, including President and CEO, Mark Stafford; Chief Operating Officer, Scott Anible; and Chief Financial Officer, Debbie Leach.

“On behalf of UIC’s executive management and our Board of Directors, I am pleased to welcome Delta to our UIC family” said Dr. Pearl K. Brower, UIC President and CEO. “This acquisition strengthens our ability to deliver cutting-edge solutions to the Department of Defense and other key government agencies. By leveraging Delta’s specialized expertise, we are positioned to offer an even broader range of services, helping our clients address the ever-evolving challenges in defense and national security.”
